Affordable Insurance
When I look back on my younger years it seems as though I didn’t have a lot of responsibilities. There was not the stress and worry of everyday life that there seems to be now. My only concern when I was much younger was if I had car insurance and if the auto insurance quotes were going to be cheap enough to fit into my monthly budget and let me still have money left over to have fun with. My priorities have certainly changed over the years, now worrying about things such as mortgage payments, college tuition, life insurance coverage and affordable health insurance. Sometimes I get very confused and overwhelmed with everything I have to process where my family is concerned and in addition I have responsibility for taking care of my mother who could no longer live on her own. I have certainly learned a thing or two with having her live with this, especially when it comes to her health care needs.
Helping her navigate through the waters of Medicare supplement coverage has been an eye-opening experience for me but one that’s going to help me as I approach my retirement years and will need the same type of insurance. This coverage is definitely been helpful based on the condition of her health. Medigap policies have saved her hundreds of dollars in out-of-pocket expenses that she normally would’ve had to pay if she didn’t have this coverage. I found out that Medigap coverage is offered through any of the major insurance carriers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia. There are several plans available depending on the condition of one’s health. My mother chose to go with plan N because of her many ailments. The monthly premiums have been very affordable for herself she is on a fixed income which is been a relief for us.
I simply called 1-800-MEDIGAP and spoke with a qualified agent who was able to help me through the application process and answered all of the many questions that I had concerning the coverage for my mother. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and offered to go line by line as we filled out the application to be sure there were no errors that would delay the coverage that my mom needed so desperately. While traditional Medicare has been very helpful for my mother, Medicare supplemental insurance has definitely been a lifesaver.
